Amanda has worked with children and adults with autism for over 20 years in a variety of capacities. She has worked at The Cleveland Clinic Center for Autism as a Senior Behavior Therapist and as an Autism Specialist for The Monarch Early Childhood Program, Bellefaire JCB. Amanda developed Early Intervention Consulting (EIC) in June 2008 in order to meet the unique needs of families, educators and individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

EIC consultants and therapists are experienced and educated in the fields of applied behavior analysis, psychology, special education, speech and language pathology, child development and early intervention. All programs are managed by an autism consultant and supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

EIC is based in Northeast Ohio and has a network of providers to serve your family anywhere in the United Sates. Through our network we can provide a local consultant and therapist to meet the needs of your child. The EIC team continues to rapidly expand in order to accommodate the growing need for Early Intervention.

We are excited to announce that we have a new Occupational Therapist and Speech and Language Therapist on our team. OT and SLP services can be provided in your home, at your convenience. Your EI Consultant and OT / SLP will work closely to develop a complimentary treatment plan.

Our Curriculum

EIC Programs and targets are written and developed for YOUR child. We do not use cookie cutter programs or curriculums. An EIC consultant will assess your child’s needs during parent interview, play based assessment and record review. We focus heavily on communication, language development and behavior modification. Treatment plans also emphasize the areas of fine motor, gross motor, conceptual knowledge, academic skills, play skills, executive functioning skills, socialization, leisure skills, vocational skills, sensory integration and self-help skills. EIC can perform a variety of educational and developmental assessments upon your request.

EIC will use the best practice approach borrowing the necessary components from the following interventions and methods to meet the child’s needs and support their Individualized Treatment Plan.

• Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Verbal Behavior Analysis (VBA)
• Discrete Trial Training (DTT)
• Natural Environment Training (NET)
• Pivotal Response Training (PRT)
• Treatment and Education of Autistic and related Communication-handicapped CHildren (TEACCH)
• Floor Time / Play Therapy

Environmental Supports such as visual cues, schedules, timers, token economies, sensory integration strategies and social stories are used to enhance learning opportunities. Early Intervention Consulting is a data driven program that practices errorless learning and promotes positive behavioral supports.
